At Philarthropic we are artists and art lovers – for all of us art is part of our emotional process. Our work helps us to find the key to sharing that experience and using it as a tool for transformation. The artistic process creates an intimate connection to our subconscious, as much in the creative moment as in our perception and insight.
Art therapy, substantiated by neuroscientific research as a practice that contributes to the improvement of physical, mental, and emotional health, acts as a catalyst – a form of positive sublimation. For those with difficulties in articulating their emotions, art therapy can provide a means of communication with the subconscious in a unique way.
We've worked with patients with cancer, people with physical and intellectual disabilities, and foster children. Currently, we do ongoing work in several centers and hospitals offering art therapy sessions to people in various contexts.
